Our farm is in Yannathan, West Gippsland. With my partner Evan, and our two young children Nash and Piper, we share-farm for Evan’s parents.
We milk 480 crossbred cows, split calving pattern on 180ha milking area. This is done through two herringbones, one 24 swingover and a 20 swingover. Both are computerised with auto draft and activity collars on all the cows.
Our staff consist of one full-timer, one permanent part time, along with both Evan and myself.
I have a real passion of encouraging young people into the dairy industry and giving them a go, as that is how I got my start. Another passion of mine is genetics and breeding, having previously worked with Genetics Australia for a few years.
When I can squeeze in some down time, my partner and I like to get out on our mountain bikes and also spend time with family and friends.
